Yep, an if a problem arises you can go into the Admin account as see if the problem is in there too. I helps locate if the problem is in the user account or deeper in the system.
Also it means when an App, Installer, or site ask for your Admin name and Password it's about the mess with your system, and you can pause and ask yourself, why and is this really what I want to do???
You can also make an Applications Folder in the Home folder to install Apps you don't want to give Admin permissions, this is good to trials and tests as you know they are limited to your standard account.
All round win!
