Well done !

It reminds me of the old days when Apple told us to drop our Macs from a height of 6 inches onto a carpeted floor to help reseat Memory chips, ;-)

Glad yours is working again !

Ah, yes, they expanded because of heat and moved out of the slots, no?

it was an overheating issue... dating back to the Apple III... the system would overheat so severely that the motherboard would warp, and thermal expansion would actually push the chips out of their sockets. (No fan...)
