Won't Open

iMac 27 2016. Screen where you enter password; I can't enter one. The wireless mouse arrow moves, but I can't enter the password. I changed the batteries in the wireless keyboard. Still no. The small green light on the upper right of the keyboard housing blinks. ??

If the light is blinking then it is not paired. You may want to try a hardwired keyboard, and then repair your wireless keyboard.

Honestly, for reliability I'd suggest scrapping the wireless keyboard and going for Apple's wired Magic keyboard if you can handle the $200 price tag or one of the many cheaper alternatives such as the Satechi see; https://au.pcmag.com/keyboards/88490/the-best-keyboards-for-mac-in-2021
