wireless connection probs with new MacBook pro

Hi all

Just got my MacBook pro out of its box and have a problem hooking up with my wireless network.

I choose the wireless icon click it and highlight "Netgear". It asked me for my password which I give, it thinks for a sec then says "connection timeout". Its got me stumped (not that difficult, I must admit), I know my internet/wireless connection is fine because I'm using it now on my iMac. Can anyone help?
