Wi-Fire Long-range WiFi adapter

I have a 2008 macbook pro that is now updated to 10.11.1. I have the above adapter that worked very well but only up to 10.5 and would love to get it to work on 10.11.1 Does anyone have any idea how I could make it work? It is amazing how much better the range is with it!

First, by "but only up to 10.5", I assume you mean OS 10.10.5, the last version of Yosemite.

Second, what is the make and model of the adapter? Maybe the vendor has an upgrade for it.

Thanks! It is Wi-Fire by hField Technologies. I tried but I'm not able to find current info for them.
