I had to perform a hard shutdown this morning on my macbook pro (OS X 10.11.6). Ever since it restarted, the display has white blurry edges. Everything seems to function fine, but the display isn't right. Any help / suggestions would be appreciated. I did try command + option + P + R and it did not help. I also tried killing the Dock process, but this didn't help either - this isn't a stuck expose screen. The blurry border is much thicker (~ an inch). Also, I have a secondary display that isn't affected by this issue.
