White apple logo and status bar on startup

Hi all,
im new here and have the following issue
on start up it shows a white apple logo and a status bar.
This was never the case and it appears the mac is slower on startup because of it. (ssd)
How do i fix this?

Need to know the following:

1. What exact Mac OS are you running? Also, how did you "arrive" at that version? Did you upgrade "in place"?

2. Have you ever done an disk cleanup/maintenance/repairs, from a software perspective? By that I mean have you ever run any disk-related software to help with those tasks? There are some excellent products available (both free and commercial) that can help you with that.

3. This is critical: are you making backups to an external device? If yo are, what software are you using for that?

4. How much free space do you have on the SSD?

Apologies for the delayed response. Work has been crazy busy

im not a techie as such and have used my MBP continuously since new ( 2012)
the details :
10.11.6 OS X el capitan. normal apple upgrade

For what it means this is what I found under about this mac:

EFI:

Capacity: 209.7 MB (209,715,200 bytes)

BSD Name: disk0s1

Capacity: 499.42 GB (499,418,030,080 bytes)

BSD Name: disk0s2

Content: Apple_CoreStorage

Recovery HD:

Capacity: 650 MB (650,002,432 bytes)

BSD Name: disk0s3

Content: Apple_Boot

Macintosh HD:
Available: 204.42 GB (204,424,384,512 bytes)

Capacity: 499.05 GB


Backups: i havent made backups and done a clean reinstall as im afraid i do something wrong and lose my documents and moreover my photography files

I would try it if i know how to do it well without losing anything ( i have bad experiences with changing phones etc)

Im not sure what you mean with install in place. there is only one way with mac that i know about.
