What is xpcroleaccountd?

I go to activity monitor and I see that this xpcroleaccountd is running, but what is it? Can’t find much info on it online but one question relating it to messages on a MacBook and another on Reddit suggesting maybe it’s something, maybe it’s nothing.

Ran Malwarebytes and my machine was clean.

I am not familiar with that process. I did a bit of research, and I don't have anything more to add than the replies you have gotten on other forums. I don't have that process running on any of my Macs that I have seen.

• Which exact model Mac?
• Which version of OS X/macOS?
• Any third-party Startup Items?
• Do you have any utilities or antivirus running?
• Have you checked you Applications folder for anything unknown?
• Do you have any browser extensions/add-ons/toolbars installed?
• Is the process running after a fresh restart with no application running other than Activity Monitor?

Malwarebytes is an excellent application, and if it didn't find anything, you should be good.

• MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019)
• Monterey 12.3.1
• And no third party startup items that I know of and no antivirus. Downloaded Malwarebytes, ran it, and found nothing. Clean machine.
• No unknown applications.
• One browser extension: an ad blocker in Chrome.
• Fresh restart multiple times and it's gone.

Seems strange, right?
