What is the best smart phone for mac ?

I have a Nokia lumia and about to give it up. I can't get the photos onto my Mac even though I downloaded an app to do it. What is the most compatible phone/camera to use with a mac?

Dropbox syncs the photos/movies on my phone and downloads them onto my iMac C2D when the phone is within WiFi range. I don't have an iPhone either.
