What happened to iPhotos?

I am a visual artist and use iPhotos daily to add to inventory, edit photos of paintings, send images for applications, etc.

When I uploaded the Yosemite version (I was on Snow Leopard), I lost this program and now have trouble working with the photo files.

I also make iBooks of my works for collectors and can't find that function either.

Is there anyway to change just the Photos program back to iPhotos? Also, can I recapture the books I've already made that were in the iPhotos program?

1) Launch the terminal (don't be afraid, type "terminal" on spotlight or in /Application/Utilities/Terminal(.app)

2) type : /Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/MacOS/iPhoto
