Hi, For the past few months ive noticed these weird lines all over my screen when I use Adobe applications, it also happens on Photos too. The lines move and jump around everywhere whilst i am working on projects which makes it very distracting to do my work.
Here are a couple of pictures, does anyone know why these are appearing and how I can get rid of them?
Thank you

Hello and welcome.

-Which exact model MacBook?
-Which version of OS X?
-I assume Photoshop CS6 is updated to the latest version?
-Have you tried connecting an external display to see if the issue persists?
-Is it only with those two apps - does it happen when playing video?

Hi,
sorry please bare with me it's my first time posting on this forum :)
It's a Macbook Pro Retina display,
Photoshop and the Mac are updated
I havn't tried connecting to an external display but I will try it soon
and no the only applications it doesnt do this on is Chrome and other internet browsers, its strange...
Do you think i'd be best having someone look at it? The macbook is still under warranty as I only brought it last year
I don't know what to do

No worries, we'll see if we can figure it out.

You could try disabling/unchecking  > System Preferences... > Energy Saver > Automatic graphics switching to see if that helps.

Set graphics performance on MacBook Pro

-Does it happen all the time, or when running a specific filter/tool?
-Have you tried running only Photoshop with all other apps closed?
-Is this on AC power or battery?
-Does this happen if you open a photo in Preview?
-Do you have any other image editing apps you could try?

See if that does anything and let us know.

Hi, I have sent my Macbook off to be looked at and it turned out to be a problem with the Logic board. Thank god I took it in when I did as I only had 5 days left of my warranty and it is an expensive fix. They replaced my faulty board with a new one and now things are working as usual. Still not quite sure what brought on the problem but i'm glad its fixed. Anyway, thanks for your help :)
