Web site building softward

I am thinking about building a web site and wonder if I can do it myself on my Mac. I have OS 10.3 something. I am miles away from it at the moment and can't remember exactly which version it is.

Is there any particualr software that anyone would recommend to a non-techy person who can just about work paintshop, excel, word and Final Cut but loathes instruction manuals?

There are several applications to assist you with HTML writing. I personally use Dreamweaver. However, other choices include BBEdit, RapidWeaver and the free NVu.

If you can use Final Cut, then you should be able to use Dreamweaver, It is not very intuitive to use - just push your way in there. I have produced some good stuff on it. Good luck.
