Hello,

I recently bought my first MacBook, so im not very familiar with the system yet. with that said I was downloading this communication app called 'discord'. when I tried to open it said failed to open app, trying in... and it was counting down from 10 - 0, and every time it reached 0, 10 more seconds were added. eventually I just closed it because it didn't open or do anything other then counting down again and again. When I deleted the app I noticed at the desktop warning console and opened it and saw a lot of numbers and words and they kept going on and on and saw crashrapport. im really panicking that im messing up my Mac because of this one stupid app.

What do I need to do with it or how can I solve it?
PS i do have norton 360 antivirus and it says that nothing is detected, but I can't help stressing out over this..

this is what it says on crashrapport:

Hello and welcome.

Did you download Discord from the App Store or their website directly?

From your crash report, Norton 360 was the cause of the crash, not the Discord app. You could try starting up while holding the Shift key until you see the apple logo. That is called Safe Mode, and will prevent any third-party extensions/applications from loading during login. It is helpful to see what may be causing kernel panics or other issues.

If your Mac successfully allows you to login without crashing, try disabling Norton 360 and restart.

Let us know how that goes,

C
