Virus Problem? Maybe? I don't know...
Let me preface this by saying that I am nearly completely ignorant when it comes to mac computers. This could potentially be a simple issue, but I have no idea how to tell if it is or not.
I'm attempting to solve an issue with my fiancee's mac. She is trying to e-mail some files from her computer to a classmate, but when she uploads it to yahoo/gmail, she is told there is a virus infecting the files she is trying to send. I took over at that point.
I downloaded iAntivirus and ran a full computer scan: no files infected.
I downloaded (after removing iAntivirus) ClamXav and did the same: no files infected.
I tried scanning just the files she was attempting to send: no files infected.
I made sure all definitions were updated, but I got the same results.
Unless my mac-ignorance is totally out of control, I can't see why yahoo mail AND gmail would say these files are infected. If it is any help, the files were created using Openoffice.
Any ideas on what to do next?
EDIT: I have done all the checks to see if it was the flashback trojan, and they all came back negative. She is completely updated as far as software goes (hadn't updated anything since she bought the computer a little over a year ago)
