So I used rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone in Single-User mode and after I rebooted, it prompts me to create a new OS X Server by entering a serial number and organization name. I thought it would create additional account but I now see I need to register a new server. I used:
sudo /System/Library/ServerSetup/serverserialnumberutil -get
to find my existing Server serial number with exact organization name. My question is, can I recover that deleted Apple Setup file and on next restart go straight to account login like normal? If not, am I able to input the same serial number that the Mac mini is already registered to in the prompt boxes? And will it keep all my data intact. Plz I need to know if using the same serial number won't overwrite my existing files.
