Hi,
I installed Mavericks and have encountered a new quirk that has been has been foxing me. I have noticed that I now have new version of the user within my account; i.e. before my only user was called 'baward' and now I have that user PLUS a newly-created user, 'baward 1' - although these are not in separate accounts in System Preferences > Users & Groups, only as part of my main account. Confused? I was too for ages...
I realise that best practice is to have a main admin account, plus additional accounts for everyday use for as many users as you have using your machine, but as I have started using the computer (unwittingly as 'baward 1') files have been edited and created/deleted. Am I asking for further confusion if I attempt to combine the two, within my user? Should I reinstall the whole system?
Kind regards.
