Upgrading to 10.5.2 from 10.4.11

Hi there,

I have an intel iMac that I bought in 2006 (?) currently running 10.4.11 that I'm trying to update to 10.5.2. I have the a Macbook that I purchased in 2008, and when I use the bootdisc that came with it my iMac comes back with the notification "This version of OSX cannot be installed on this computer".

Is this because it's a laptop-bound version of the OS, or is it a different problem all together? I appreciate any help you can give me.

You can not use the Disks that come with another computer, you need a full Retail version.

I've seen some real messed up computer because people try and do this.
