Upgrade options?

Hello,

I was just given a mac, it was never used much but is older (new to me). According to itunes it is up-to-date but it doesn't take too long looking around to figure out there are allot of newer versions out tho I'm slightly confused by them. I'm new to Macs and don't understand fully my upgrade options/what I can update to or if I can and how to do so...I gather it's going to cost.

Currently mine is '' Mac OS X Version 10.4.11''

If I want to upgrade the computer a bit, how should I go about it? Is it very hard?

Hey welcome to the world of mac - it's much better here! Um bascally if you go on the apple website in like mac help of something it shows all of the upgrades that are available for your system... choose the ones you want and you're away! good luck!

Thanks! Can you give me a link? I cant find what you mentioned I see all kinds on the site with all kinds of cat names...I don't know what cat name I have though...or any of the other information to confirm which ones I can or can't get...What you said sounds like something that can automatically tell me what is available to this comp but I can't find it. :O
