Upgrade macbook pro mid 2012 to Os Monterey

Hi, I plan to upgrade the OS from Catalina to Monterey.

I have already upgraded the hardware to an SSD and increased the RAM to 16GB.

Is this upgrade recommended? Please give me your advice

I am not 100% sure, but I think Catalina is as far as a 2012 Mac Book Pro would upgrade.

I believe you can run Monterey on your older MacBook, but you will need to use OpenCore. Have a look here.
