Hello. I’m trying to fix my mothers old MacBook. It’s the one with a cd drive from around 2012. It hasn’t been updated in forever, and is starting not to work (It has Yosemite 10.10.5 installed).
So I figure out that the newest OS it can run is High Sierra. I can’t install that because it says “application is damaged…”. So the fix I find, is to turn back the time in terminal, to before 19’ when the OS wasn’t damaged. I get “operation not permitted” when trying. I Google how to fix that. Google tells me to grant “full disc access” to terminal. I don’t have that feature, and I find out it’s because this feature isn’t a thing in Yosemite. So now I’m kinda stuck. Do you guys have any ideas where to go from here?
