I am running Snow leopard on my iMac and need to update to 10.7.4 to run some software.
My problem is that there is a download 10.7.4 for Lion, but I'm ythinking this came before Snow Leopard which I am now running so I cannot download it.
The other problem is that I am not able to download Maountain LIon as my iMac is not new enough to be able to do this.

So how can I download 10.7.4?

Snow Leopard is 10.6 and then comes Lion 10.7. Mountain Lion is 10.8 and Mavericks will be 10.9.

Intel Core Duo != Core 2 Duo

These are totally different CPUs. Intel has such bad chip names, designed I think to confuse the consumer and sell cheap Windows computers.
