unable to boot from CD...

anybody have others ideas ? i'm unable to boot windows XP,vista,7 CD and also any ubuntu, debian, acronis CD, i tried my internal CD drive and external USB one... a question mark after a 30 secondes ...but my mac OSX CD and OS can boot perfectly, also disk repair utility saids no error and i have latest firmware and updates. I was able to boot from those CD few month ago with 10.5.x and 2 gigs or RAM... i also tried with 4 gigs and 2 gigs of RAM... same thing... any ideas ?
