hey can u delete stuff that came with your mac like ichat or safari something improtant like that cuz im not sure if i did or not it just looks like somethings missing thanks alot.

open your hd
go to aplications
look up the icon drag it to the garbage can
say bye bye to ichat or safari and empty the garbage can

thats basically it

some apps have an uninstaller and some drop their files in the library but to get rid of the actual app thats the most used methode

just removing the icon from the dock wil only kick them out of the dock

Hi there,

if you have deleted iChat or other Apps that were installed when you got your Mac...there are a couple of ways to put them back on.

You can either boot from the Install CD DVD and do an "Archive & Install" this will retain your documents and settings, but will reload the Apps that you deleted.

Or you can download an Application called Pacifist, this will allow you to 'selectively' reinstall just the Apps that you want from the OS Install disk...

So if you accidently threw away Safari you could use Pacifist to just reload that.
