Trying to recover deleted att.net email

Hi everyone. I was having trouble with att.net email on my iMac. So I deleted it thinking I could add it right back. When I try to add it back, it says "this email already exists".

Does anyone know how I can recover this email? I've tried a lot of things and nothing is working.

Hello,

Did you delete it in the Mail application, or the Internet Accounts preference pane? Internet Accounts preference pane is the correct place to delete and re-add an account.
