I am Stuck i am a photographer and have so many pictures on my mac in the raw format. I have zero hard drive space so i went out and bought a external hard drive the lovely computer man in the store managed to move all my pictures to the drive i than went home thinking deleting would be easy as pie. Not the case it is so busy it has been freezing every time i am in there ( iphoto). Friend told me to put iphoto in the trash so i did and now i do not know what to do i cant remove it from the trash or use iphoto anymore cause it is in the trash. Does anyone know what i should do next even if i can get it back out of trash to try something else. I love my Mac but this is driving me crazy. HELP!

Let's see if we can sort out this mess ... first there needs to be some further clarification.

1. All your photos are stored on an ext drive.?

2. Do you have a back up of your valuable photos, other than on this ext hard drive? (This is very, very important for moments like this)

3. Where is your iPhoto Library currently stored? On the ext drive or on your Macs internal drive? (This is normally found in your Pictures Directory, see photo):

4. When you say you put iPhoto in the Trash, exactly what do you mean? (iPhoto from the Pictures Directory OR iPhoto.app from the Applications Folder?)
