Trash Size Stuck

My trash is stuck at 50.28 GB when I click "Get Info". Doesn't change at all if more items are added, or when trash is emptied.

I've reset the PRAM, SMC, completely re-indexed the drive, replaced the hidden trash folders, repaired the drive using the disk utility, hooked up each of my external HD's to see if the items were on there, even tried those bogus cleaning apps to try and empty caches i may not have thought about.

If I delete a file, and empty the trash, the available disk size does change. Just not the trash, it's driving me crazy not knowing what size it is and whether or not that stuck 50.28 GB is actually holding space on my hard drive.

Any help would be very appreciated before I go my final route and format my MacBook back to new.

Hi,

Try this go into terminal and type in the following command:
"sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/*" (without quotes) and then hit Enter on your keyboard.

Thanks, but I've already given that a go too. No luck! No idea why it's stuck like this or what caused it... But it's definitely driving me crazy not being able to figure it out!

Well it got rid of the 50.28 GB reading! But now it's stuck on "Calculating" for size and can't get a reading at all. Tried reindexing again, no luck.
