First of all, you need to know that I am a Windows user so I know very little about the Mac OS.
I'm the local computer fix it guy in my neighborhood and my neighbor came to me with a Mac issue that I cannot find info on when I do an internet search.
He is running OS X 10.3.4 and has lost "Tools" from his menu bar which is normally located between "Format" and "Data". He noticed this when trying to work with a work sheet using Excel 2004. He said he reinstalled Excel and it did not help. I'm thinking this is not an Excel issue but an OS issue as it has to do with the OS menu bar. Or maybe a conflict between an OS update and his old version of office.
"Tools" is missing at all times. Not just when he loads an Excel worksheet. Is "Tools" a standing feature in the menu bar or would it only appear when certain apps are opened?
Can anyone help with this?
