I'm sitting in an airport with my headphones on to edit some audio. The audio app sounds are all playing through the headphones. The alerts - new mail, Airdroid messages, all notifications - are playing through the speakers.
I've looked up help from several sources, and these are the configurations suggested: in the Utilities folder, under Audio Midi Devices, I've selected the Bose headset as the Output.
Under Settings/Sounds, I've got the Bose selected, and Play User Interface Sound Effects selected.
I'm driving everyone around me mad with these alert sounds. What else can I configure?
I'm on a 2019 Mac Air, fully up to date.
