I would like to divide a table with many columns in different areas using vertical lines

Select a whole column. From the upper right corner, click on Cell. In the Border section, select either vertical border (left or right), and change the weight (thickness) to make the line stand out. You can change the color, if you please.

I know that. But there is a problem with it. When you add categories, it disappears

What exactly is adding categories? The weight and color of grid lines don’t have anything to do with categories.
