I just uninstalled Adobe CC and it's official uninstallers apparently uninstalled more than they're supposed to. Am having system problems now... can't dump files off desktop; can't write files to certain folders (dropbox i.e.).

Running 10.9.2 on 3.4 i7 iMac w/16g ram.

I repaired permissions to no avail.

Is there a way to reinstall ONLY my system files from time machine?

Hello and welcome.

I wouldn't recommend that you try to restore the OS from a Time Machine backup, it wasn't designed for that. If your system is acting funny after the uninstall of the Adobe apps, then I would suggest a reinstall (not an erase and install) using the Option Boot installer on the Recovery Partition of OS X 10.9.2.

Make sure you have a recent Time Machine backup and let us know if you want to proceed. We can then give a few additional diagnostic steps to try, and if that does't correct the issue, we can guide you through the reinstall.
