This has been happening for a while on a few sites. The problem does not happen with Safari but I am a long time FF user and like i.
I have 10.11..4 but this happened on earlier 10.11 versions. I have FF 45.0.1.

When I go to certain pages, the page might start loading and then a 404 error comes up. The page is there - I can get to it with FF.

Sometimes, as in the example I will post below, the page will try to load a few times and then it will go to a Yahoo search page. Now, I have google set as my preferred search engine in FF and I even removed yahoo from the list.

Here is an example - I enter gatecityseries.com (which loads fine in Safari.

After a few tries to load it loads http://www.gatecityseries.com/wp-content/themes/bizstudio-lite/js/jquery.mobilemenu.js?ver=1.0 which gives a 404 error.

Then the screen goes to https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/errorh...nt/themes/bizstudio-lite/js/jquer&type=769480

gatecityseries.com loads fine for me too on Safari, but on FF it sends me automatically to the second link. It is a bad link but I don't know why I get sent there.

So I knew the problem then was that FF was on its only jumping to that bad link. I fixed it through FF by deleting history, cookies, and logins. It seems to be working fine (for now.)

Thanks for the help.

You're welcome! Looks like Google Chrome behaves "better" with that site, as it is my primary browser. I used to use FF, but Chrome is much, much faster.
