startup problem

Hi,

I bought Apple Macbook Pro 2 months ago in hyderabad.
Macbook Pro, Intel core2duo 3.06 Ghz, 4GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, 15inch
I tried to update itunes...left it to update and went out and came back after sometime thats it. Donno what the problem is, unable see the desktop r do anything else, just a blank screen apprears with a symbol of a folder and question mark in between the symbol which is blinking and the system is shutting down after 10mins thts it tried restarting but nothing is happening.

Am new to mac so expecting u guys to help me out ASAP.

If you purchased the MBP brand new from an Apple Store or Authorised Dealer then you are still covered by warranty. You also have 1 month of phone support too.
