Hi there,
it's my first post, be gentle :)

We have a public Mac with guest account. The requirement is that every time the guest user logs in, Chrome (or any other browser) should open a specific website - example.com
This can't be done with "open at login" as all user settings and files from the guest user will be deleted after logout.
Is this possible with automator - I would prefer the automator as i'm new to Mac and don't really have an idea about scripting.

iMac 21.5", Late 2012
High Sierra, 10.13.6

Thanks for your help.

Hello and welcome.

Correct. Because the Guest user is a temporary user, and all data is deleted when the guest logs out, there isn't any official way to set static preferences. In addition, an Automator/AppleScript wouldn't work in that scenario.

The easiest way would be to create a non-admin standard user that guests could use. You could then set preferences for Chrome that would be saved when the user logs out.
