Sony Handycam won't work...sob :(

Hi there, I've just bought a Sony Handycam DCR-SR35 to film my son mountainbiking and have the latest MacBook. I can't seem to get the movies to work with the mac, but I can with my old windows PC.....please can anyone help as I've tried everything.

Sony Handycams are not very Mac-friendly; you need to download additional software in order for them to work.

My advice is to take the Sony back to the store while you can! IMO their products are not very good - they have been riding on their reputation for the last several years. We bought a $1200 Sony HD Handycam 1.5 years ago and it has spent seven months in the shop so far. We are now having another (different) problem with it. And our Sony TV (bought 2.5 years ago) has a major problem that Sony won't acknowledge but they have discontinued our model.
