I am running OS X 10.5.8 and I just opened a PDF artwork from a supplier and all of a sudden my Mac has mysteriously started talking to me on every action - I have checked that the Text to Speech facility is turned off. It verbally repeats back to me every action I perform. Is it a nasty virus? Is there anything I can do?
At same time. A bold black border has appeared around any icon I select or window that I activate. Can anyone help? Thank you, Bunny.

Hello,
Go to System Preferences/Universal Access/Seeing and turn VoiceOver off by clicking on its off button.

Sounds like you have turned on "Voice Over" in Universal Access of System Preferences

Can be turned On & Off by pressing Command F5
