Been having some problems with my MacBook Pro 15 Inch Mid-2015 Model

The laptop has been working perfectly for 5 years. It was recalled by Apple due to a factory fault with overheating and the battery was replaced. Worked well for almost a year and then started lagging like crazy. I used activity monitor to check CPU usage and found Kernel Task was hogging 400+% of the CPU.

Tried loads of things to solve this including cleaning the fans, using Mac Fan Control etc. Did the SMC reset and the PVRAM reset. Eventually I wiped the whole Mac clean and did a clean install.

Acitivty Monitor no longer shows Kernel Task as an issue but the laptop is still lagging, freezing and just not really usable. This is my last attempt at trying to fix it before giving in and dishing out $$$ for a new one. Would appreciate any help! :)

Here is the EtreCheck report for my Mac:

Hello and welcome.

The item that sticks out to me is:

Minor Issues:
These issues do not need immediate attention but they may indicate future problems or opportunities for improvement.
SSD too slow - SSD is showing poor performance.

That may be signaling that the SSD is starting to fail, which could cause all of the issues you are experiencing.

Have you tried running Apple Diagnostics?
