Siri's Behavior After 17.4 Update - Seeking a Fix

I've got a HomePod mini and several bridged commands set up as switches that default to 'off' and briefly turn 'on' while a script runs. Since updating to 17.4, every time I call out one of these switches by name, Siri asks if I want to turn it on or off. This wasn’t the case before the update. In my opinion, this is counter-intuitive and a waste of time because if the switch is off, you can only turn it on, and vice versa. Does anyone know how to make Siri simply toggle the switch when I name it, without asking for obvious answers, like it did before 17.4?
