Greetings Mac experts,
I am feeling doubly foolish. I sent a question a few weeks ago, my Mac went into the shop, came back with the
same problem, and I can no longer trace down the original posting and, even more important, the answers that it elicited.
Quick summary - my screen grows dim. It isn't midnight black. It looks as if someone has drawn a veil over it This happens when I access other sites, most frequently, NYT articles (and I have a subscription) and (guilty secret) some daily comics. I can see read the underlying screen, but the veil freezes the article so I can't forward or print.
If the problem was limited to only one site, I would assume that the glitch was at the other end, but it varies inconsistently.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The pleasant technician at the Apple store is as stumped as I am.
cheers, goph
