Set up user accounts with Parental Controls but permission pop ups render them unusable.

Hi there, hoping someone can help me out with a problem I'm having on my iMac.

I set up new User accounts for my kids and enabled parental controls.

When I log into the kids' accounts I get a pop up every 5 seconds that says you don't have permission to use the application (insert application name). There are several that come up and they are relentless. I even tried Allow once and Always allow with my Admin Username & password but no dice, they keep popping up. The new user accounts are unusable due to this issue and I can't get it to stop. Anyone know what to do here?

-Did you specify apps that they can use?
-What apps are giving the warnings?
