I no longer use Firefox as my primary browser, preferring the much faster Google Chrome. But, I still use it once in a while. Earlier today, I saw this article on www.macworld.com:

Although it "might" not be a direct threat to Mac users, I upgraded anyway. One can get the update from here:
http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/10700/firefox
Given that threat, it is better to apply the update manually, instead of launching a prior version of Firefox and have it obtain/apply the update. By the way, this is just another good example of applying updates manually (when possible).
