Seeking history of Apple Aluminum hard case for macbook

I found a metal hard case for the. Macbook but I can't find any info in it anywhere. If you know something about this, please help. I would like to sell on eBay but I need pricing background.

I have never heard of an aluminum briefcase for MacBook from Apple itself. I would be it is a third-party/custom piece. Most of those run between $50-150 USD new.
