Script to add word link to document in iBook author

Hullo to everyone,
I would like to collect a number of chapters in iBook author, each with a large number of shared word tags. Apple told me those links would be stripped when pasting the chapters together and restoring them by hand would be daunting. There several thousands of links with some word being linked over one thousand times, and iBook author gets slower and slower when coping with words with many links.
Thereafter I would like to use an automatic script doing the task for me. Basically search each word from the glossary in the document, select the same word in the word list and the click ‘add link’ and go on to the end of the glossary list and the document. Of course I could also select the word myself and start the script for each single word. May anyone help?

That is above my experience with Automator/AppleScript. Maybe the folks over at MacScripter could shed some light?
