Screen saver photo shortcuts

I have a new MacBook Air which uses Catalina. My old Macbook's screen saver allowed me to use the arrow keys to move forward or backward to the next pic. I compared the settings on both and they seem very similar but the new Mac cancels the screensaver when I hit those keys. Any suggestions? The old Mac's source for pics was Pictures vs Gallery. I know this is a minor issue but I loved the old feature. Thanks!

Hi,

I tested it out, and it does the same on mine. I did a little research, and it seems Apple removed that functionality in Mojave, and they haven't added it back in Catalina or Big Sur.
