Saying Hello

Hi folks,

I'm here in hopes of getting an answer to a problem that has me (and others) stumped.

I have a little bit of experience with Apple products - going back to the Apple II in our grade school library (yes, I'm that old ) - but my useful technical knowledge is Microsoft heavy with a touch of Linux thrown in.

Welcome, learner. You'll find many folks here who will try and help you with whatever issue you are having. A couple of things when you make a post:

1. As best as possible, state the issue as clearly as possible.

2. Be sure to state your exact Mac model, and the exact Mac OS you are using.

It would be good if you perform disk cleanup/maintenance/repairs, from a software perspective, as often as possible. You actually can do a good amount of disk cleanup yourself, and there are some excellent products (both free and commercial) that can assist you with those efforts.

Finally, and this is so, so critical, make frequent backups to an external device.
