Running Apple Arcade on a TV

I see that some TVs are advertised that they support Apple TV without needing an Apple TV. We are going to be shopping for a new TV.

What would be needed to play Apple Arcade on a TV without a physical Apple TV?

Hello,

Televisions that have the tv app installed do not have Apple Arcade, nor can the install and use any of the apps from the App Store. They can only stream audio/video purchases - like the tv app on an iOS device or Mac (Catalina).

My LG OLED has the tv app, so that is what I have seen first-hand.
