I recently replaced a document with a different document altogether with the same name. I now only have the older version of the file. Is there any way to restore overwritten files?
yes, but you need to stop using your Mac...then you need some software such as DataRescue II, I have it and it's very good...you all so need some luck !
Without going into the finer details of how a Disk Drive works...if you're lucky "File A" may possibly still be on the drive...the drive effectively has forgotton where it is...
