Removing Avast from Mac

Hi. I am a newby to Mac. I am struggling to remove the Avast app from my Mac. Followed the procedure as indicated on the Avast site, but no luck. Can someone assist please. Goes through the process of deletion and then give this message as attached

Hello and welcome.

You could try the following:
  1. Reinstall Avast
  2. Download AppCleaner for your version of macOS and install it
  3. Run AppCleaner and drag the Avast application into its window
  4. Check everything listed and click Remove
AppCleaner is an excellent application to remove all components of an application.
