I have a Powermac G4 running 10.4.11 and i would like a number of other Macbooks to be able to connect to it from different WAN's to update files and folders. It does not necessarily need remote desktop just the ability to have a mounted drive. I currently have a Macbook Pro 10.6.8.

I'm a bit of a mac amateur so would greatly appreciate any help or advise on getting this setup.

Thanks in advance

Just turn on File Sharing in System Preference > Sharing, then log into it from the other Macs with a UserName and Password of the Account on the Sharing Mac.

Macs love networks and sharing.

It will be in the sidebar of any Finder Window of any Mac on the network.
