Recommendation for Flexible Task Manager

I'm looking for a recommendation for a good Mac Task Mgr app (or ToDo app). Nothing complex but the flexibility I need is the ability to create flexible views using Smart groups, the ability to select which fields to include and the ability to sort and group on several fields in the view. The task app in Outlook/Windows supports this so it's easy to create views for managing volunteer activities, phone call-back lists, etc. and I want to set up similar flexible lists on my Mac. Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend Omnifocus, but it's built on a mac paradigm - not much in the sense of windows-like custom views and the need to add or manipulate fields. Powerful stuff, I use to manage work-related to-dos as well as basic project management, as there is an export plug for MS project. For really simple stuff, Wunderlist works on a mac as well - I use that for groceries and whatnot. For really complex stuff (or for a windows-like app), you can try Filemaker Pro. There you can make any kind of database imaginable, but it's a bit pricy if you go full-blown with a Filemaker server and all.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll take a look at these two. I'm not looking for complex, just the flexibility to easily select the fields to include in the view and ability to group/sort on a few fields to make the view more useful. I use Filemaker Pro but that's overkill and too complex for what I want to do.
