recognizing printer

My Mac (OSX 10.6.8) does no longer recognize the printer (HP CM1312 MFP). Not via the "print" command, not when I try to add the printer to the list. Also, when trying to reinstall the printer driver from HP, the software does not see the printer. If I connect the printer to my MacBook Pro, no problem whatsoever. Where is my problem ???
